Alternative: USBNet (SSH over USB)
More secure than telnet. Requires additional setup: 1. Install USBNet package via MRPI 2. Configure SSH keys 3. Connect via USB cable 4. SSH into Kindle at a fixed USB network address
Trade-off: requires USB cable (not wireless). Better for initial setup, less convenient for ongoing agent loop.
Recommendation: Start with telnet for simplicity. Upgrade to USBNet/SSH if security becomes a concern.
Integration with Amytis Seedbank
Same content source as the human-facing garden:
seedbank/content/notes/some-seed.md
│
├── Amytis build → :8081 (humans)
│
└── Kindle agent → push raw .md → KOReader
No format conversion needed. KOReader reads markdown natively. [[Wikilinks]] won’t resolve in KOReader (they’re an Amytis feature), but the text is readable.
