Canon Versus Archive

Prior RELiK narrative lore and metafictional conventions should be segregated carefully.

Some lore is provisionally archival: it happened, was explored, or informed the lab, but should not automatically become binding public canon.

The more durable canonical layer is metafiction as a method: a way to create identity, stakes, culture, runtime, and felt seriousness around creative work.
