Fear Of God Reference

Fear of God is a tangential but useful reference.

The relevant principle is not direct visual imitation. It is the restoration of sacred texture to contemporary values such as athleticism, luxury, convenience, utility, and everyday wear. RELiK is interested in a similar transposition: taking contemporary technical, experiential, and cultural conditions and giving them tangible sacred weight.

This reference should be deepened later.

Artifact Logic

Watches are an important example of sacred artifact logic.

Their value is not reducible to utility. Their meaning includes design, history, epoch marking, personal significance, technical lineage, ritual, luxury, and the fact that they remain valued even when their original technical necessity has been displaced.

This matters for RELiK because the lab is interested in objects, experiences, and systems whose value exceeds simple market-measurable utility.
