1. Launch now reaches HERMS, but visually halts at the HERM ASCII splash.
2. HERM ASCII banner overlaps version/status text.
3. Portrait/eikon animations are missing. This is the highest priority.
4. Keyboard is not intuitive; user cannot tell what to press or how to operate it.
5. Startup takes a long time before it appears connected.
6. After roughly a few minutes of inactivity, the session times out/fails. User saw this 4/4 recent tests.
7. Git lineage is confusing across shadow-clan, the full herm-tui clone, and local RG-specific commits.
